"I'm feeling silver at the moment" says fashion icon, and our collaborator, Harris Reed. Something perhaps to do with the Anniversary Collection we launched in September, exactly one year after Harris Reed x Missoma – the designer's sell-out jewelry debut.
An inclusive, fluid collection, it only made sense to include silver lovers in the action. Discover the best selling In Good Hands Pearl Necklace, Labradorite Cocktail Ring, North Star Pearl Hoops and other iconic pieces refreshed in the cooler tones of sterling silver. Here Harris to tell us how he styles our new favorite metal, featuring our collection models Evie and Abuk.
The Power of Three
"When it comes to layering, I always do threes as it gives a beautiful arrangement. I love mixing different metals, as well as textures. Seed pearls, skinny chains, pendants."
Always In Good Hands
Our Harris Reed x Missoma icon is now here in silver. "I always start with my In Good Hands chain. I put it on the longest chain at the back, for me it's a good length for my neck length. I think it's really nice for layering to have a mix of pearls and different metals. The In Good Hands is one of my favorite pieces; it represents coming together."
Mix and Match
"I like to mix stones, whether it's labradorite with the seed pearls. I also like mixing two pendants together."
More is More When It Comes to Ring Stacking
"Pinkies I always do either a signet ring or a double stack" says Harris. "I always play up my ring finger, I think it's something that's really fun. I always do the Openness Ring with the Quartet Ring because they slot in together. Especially in the new silver, the contrast between the gold and the silver is insane. It gives a loud finger, something that's really fun and statement."
How would he style his other fingers? "Three to four on your ring finger of things that are just different mediums, different colors, different textures really makes an impact. We leave the thumbs because otherwise we're not going to be able to open any doors."
